Flower Bouquets

Flower bouquet for my R.O.M.

My mother decided to make flower bouquets for me and my maid of honor for my wedding. I wanted it simple so she chose white roses and baby's breath. She also made me a white flower bouquet for my R.O.M. Yeah, I’m pretty boring with the color…but I like it that way.

My baby's clothes

I knew kids grow up fast.  But I never knew how fast until I had a kid of my own. He is 4 months now and time really flies! He outgrew most of his clothes and there are some clothes (especially onesies) that he didn’t even get the chance to wear. Such a pity :(

I received lots of one piece suits and some of them are long sleeves which I find not really suitable in a country which is forever hot and humid. My mother had some of these sleeves taken out. But in just a few short weeks my son can’t fit into these suits as it gets tighter as he grew taller (or longer). So, my mom decided to sew clothes for him…instead of buying more clothes. The cloth is of cooling material…and it’s two-piece.

And 'J' for that special touch.

Mother's Day is around the corner!

I bought her something...that smells nice.... :)

...and my husband bought her a book.

My Pre-Wedding Dress (and R.O.M.)

My pre-wedding dress

When I was planning my wedding, I wanted my mom to be part of my wedding planning. I have confidence in her and I am absolutely sure that I am going to love everything she creates. My only worry is that she may tire herself! And it amazes me on how she can sew anything on the sewing machine that was stuck at the corner of the bedroom (the room is just so messed-up with everything and there's really limited space to even walk). As for laying out measurements and all that...she does it on the bedroom floor :P

One of my favorites from her would be my pre-wedding dress. It's a two piece where the dress itself is actually short (above knee) and the train as a separate piece.

About This Blog

My mother DIY the hand bouquet for my wedding.

I created this blog to document my mother's love for arts and crafts. I wished I had created this blog way earlier (with her permission of course!) but I was so preoccupied with every other thing that is going on in my life that I can hardly find any time to do so.

She’s pretty creative (well, maybe because she's my mother???) and would sew me clothes and toys. Although she quit sewing long time ago, she would occasionally alter clothing which I did not fit well into.

Then I got married.

One of my most prized possessions will be the pre-wedding gown she makes for me. I absolutely loved it and refused to sell it even though she suggested so. She also DIY some other items for my wedding i.e. my flower bouquet, ring pillow, my evening gowns, her own gown and my mother-in-law's!

And then…came my son.

And she started off a few mini projects for him like his pyjamas and bibs.

Anyway, do take a look around!
